Set up inventory and stock
Track the parts and consumables jobs use, and tie them to the services that need them.

What to do
Follow these steps in order. Keep it simple — refine after the first real workflow works.
- 1On the Units tab, create the units of measure you buy and use stock in (each, box, litre).
- 2On Inventory, click Add stock and fill the item in: Name and Unit are required; SKU, Supplier, and Storage location are optional labels for your own reference.
- 3Set Quantity on hand to what is physically on the shelf today, and Unit cost in your business currency so stock value is accurate.
- 4Set the Reorder point — this is the low-stock line. When on-hand falls to or below it, the item is flagged and jobs that would run you short warn up front.
- 5Attach required stock and quantities to the services that consume them.
- 6Use the adjust control on each row for day-to-day changes: Add a delivery, Remove what was used off-job, or Count +/− to correct a stocktake.
- 7Confirm stock movements are recorded as work is completed.
