Payroll review walkthrough
A short product video or annotated screenshot showing this workflow from the operator's point of view.
What happens
Follow this routine when your team is doing this work for real.
- 1Complete jobs so one timesheet row can be created per assigned resource.
- 2Open the Payroll tab and review draft, submitted, approved, and locked timesheets.
- 3Check regular hours, overtime hours, period start/end, missing clock-outs, and manager exceptions.
- 4Create payroll runs to group reviewed timesheets by period.
- 5Export CSV from /api/timesheets/export with project and optional status filter.
- 6Hand the reviewed payroll period to the external payroll system only after exceptions are resolved.
What this uses
The records Flowdexa connects behind the scenes.
- Jobs
- Timesheets are created after job completion, using scheduled and actual work context.
- Resources
- Each assigned resource can produce payroll review rows depending on completion and assignment data.
- Leave
- Approved leave and missing coverage help managers explain exceptions before payroll is exported.
- Exports
- The timesheets export endpoint can filter by project and status for external payroll systems.
Before you call it done
Run these checks to make sure the workflow is actually working end-to-end.
- The responsible role can complete the workflow without owner access.
- Required customer, service, schedule, resource, or payroll records are connected.
- Blocked work has a visible reason and a named next owner.
- Managers can see the status in daily operations or reports.
